Meet Mavis

Mavis Y. Lloyd has been extensively involved in a broad range of professional and civic organizations over the past thirty years. Through these experiences, she has developed a unique set of skills in prevention, program collaboration, event planning, board development, and personal and professional growth. 

 

In her professional position at the City of Dallas, Mavis is committed to making a difference in underserved communities. She has held several leadership positions in nonprofits, juvenile justice agencies, and community organizations.  Mavis graduated with an MBA in Not-For-Profit Management from the University of Dallas and an MA in Clinical Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University.

 

Mavis is Co-Founder of the Werthing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 2009.  The foundation focuses on delivering effective programs and services to prepare women and girls for leadership positions in their schools and the broader community.   She is excited to help build milestones of success for women who are seeking to broaden their experiences, enhance their images and enjoy the wonderful lives they so richly deserve. She enjoys world travel and making memories at home with her family.
